6. 170-II Micro-Shears

The term “Micro-Shear®” refers to Xuron’s patented method of blade by-pass cutting. Micro-Shear® flush cutters, as opposed to traditional compression cutters, have cutting edges that are designed to by-pass each other rather than meet edge to edge. You can see the blade by pass if you examine the head of any shears with the tool in its fully closed position. The “shear cut” resulting from by-pass cutting blades produces a flat, clean flush-to surface cut end while reducing the manual cutting effort 50% as compared to “edge-to-edge”.
