4 Contemporary Tibetan Masters July 24 - end August 2009 PWContemporary 129 W. San Francisco St Santa Fe NM 87501 USA 505 985 7658 http://asianart.com/pwcontemporary asianart@peacefulwind.com This exhibition highlights the work of four of the most innovative artists working today in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. Their work has been featured in solo and group shows in Lhasa, Kathmandu, Santa Fe, London, Hong Kong and Beijing. Gade, Nyandak, Nortse and Benchung are among the best known of the artists of the vital and diverse Tibetan Contemporary painting movement in Lhasa. Each has a distinctive style and combines mastery of technique with a penetrating vision. Their work is enhanced by the beauty of their homeland and their people, while also infused with a myriad of emotions engendered by the unique tension of their lives in a fast changing but still traditional society. It is a pleasure to bring this group of important recent works from these four painters before the discerning contemporary art public of Santa Fe.
